[Wanda stares at the screen for a good five minutes, typing and erasing and finally giving up.]

Have you thought about where you want to live?

Why, looking to live with your trouble making brother?

So of the others from my world, the kids you know, want me to stay at Xavier's place. Since I apparently end up there anyway back home.

[He sounds a little unsure and a lot like he's waiting for her opinion.]

Where else would I want to be?

It would be safer with them, I think. And the Avengers don't have a plan. [Or if they do, they're not sharing it with her. She's barely one of them anyway, in a strictly technical sense, so it's fine. Really, it's completely and totally 100% fine and everything is under control.] Do you trust him?

You may have wanted to shack up with some cute alien or something.

[He plays it off as a joke, but he's pleased she's saying she wants to stay with him.]

I trust Jean. She trusts him. [He's not sure how to say that the last time he trusted Charles, Peter let free a monster. Charles is different now, even he can admit that. But it makes him hesitant.] She says I'll trust him someday. And Kurt says I'm going to be part of their team.

[It's a hard thing to think about. Wanda was the superhero. Not him. No matter what the uniform he'd found in the mail said.]

I think we should try it. I mean, if you're there at least the place won't suck.

[Wanda rolls her eyes. There isn't even a 'cute alien' in the picture - and if there was, he'd already know about it.]

I trust her, too. [It's only because Jean is so like her that Wanda's willing to trust Charles without even meeting him. If he had ulterior motives...Jean would know.] And I told you that you were a hero.

What about River? Do you think she'd want to come?

[His friends and his sister getting along. He's not sure if that's a great thing or only means double the lecturing in the future.]

I know. [A hero ten years from now, apparently.] It's weird. I'm not sure that I like it.

I'll ask her. She's going to have to sleep over sometimes, even if she says no. She can't just stay by herself all the time. [So says the over protective brother.]

[And with so many psychics around, what could possibly go wrong?]

Why not? You've always been a kind of hero.

River can take care of herself...but she shouldn't have to. [Clearly being overprotective is a family trait that spans worlds.] We might need to take over her couches.

[And no one had privacy again.]

Hardly. You're a hero. Pietro is a hero. I'm just, you know. Peter.

Taking care of herself is overrated. [Having the two of them in one place was easier on his nerves.] Eh. Pretty sure that place is a literal mansion. She deserves her own room. To decorate and make girly and all that.

Not to your sisters.

[She's only met them once - and the alter Ingress versions at that - but she's pretty sure they'd be making faces at him right now. River probably would too and Wanda certainly is.]

But if we're lucky this world won't need people like the Avengers. If they can't send us home yet, we deserve a break.

All my sisters like me a little too much to be the best judges of that.

Do you think that will happen? [He's not so sure any place will give them a real break. Everything always seems to come at them just when they start to get comfortable.] I mean, it'd be nice though. A little bit of normal.

I don't know. They don't seem to have a lot of weapons or soldiers...but I haven't been able to read anyone important yet.

[She doesn't want Peter to worry, but she's also not going to lie to him. This is a lot of unknowns. Anything could happen.]

They could be hiding them. They have connections to a lot of planets. Plenty of places to hide weapons.

[Its a cynical thought, but he'd rather be prepared for the worst than surprised.]

We'll just have to keep our eyes open.

Plenty of places to hide them on these planets. But I don't want you to worry yet.

[You live in a mansion full of telepaths, Peter. Keeping an ear of sorts out for danger is literally their job.]

Everything has been worse than normal since the ship crashed. Try to relax a little while you can, have some fun.

You're not worrying me anymore than I already was. And I like it when you tell me what you're thinking.

[He gives her a half smile.]

Well a fancy house should be fun, right? Lots of room and we can probably con Charles into getting some nice stuff. Maybe the three of us can go do something in this city. You can teach us how to relax.

[Wanda laughs. Her? Relax? That's a good one.

But trying to figure out this 'normal life' thing together...that she can do.]

Did you see how much money the captains gave me? I think we will be able to do whatever we want for a while. And we still have my ship.

[Peter grins. Perhaps it's not the nicest joke, but he thought she'd appreciate it.]

I didn't. But you don't have to worry about paying for whatever. I got plenty myself and I'll find a job. [He pauses.] Or just steal whatever. We'll be fine.

Maybe we should take that ship out for a joy ride. River would probably enjoy it.

Peter. We don't know what they can do to you.

[Not that she ever managed to stop Pietro, of course, but she has to try. This isn't Earth, and the Savrii likely have something worse (and more threatening to a speedster) than guns.]

It is not so bad if I have to get a job. AS long as they don't make me hurt people.

Wanda. When have I ever been caught stealing? It's, like, my best skill. And they can't do anything to me if I don't get caught.

We won't let anyone make you do that. I won't let them.

Not on Earth, but here...

[Wanda makes a face and sighs. There's no stopping him, but she's going to worry, especially after the time she and River had to rescue him from the slavers.]

I don't want them to hurt you again. I'll find something. It won't be so bad if we already have a place to stay.

Stealing isn't what's gotten me into trouble here.

I'm not going to get hurt. None of us are. We can all look for ways to contribute. So you don't have to worry about doing too much.
